When should I reinforce the legs of the StaenisGrid?
The reinforcement of the StaenisGrid depends on the filler material to be used.
When using load-bearing dry fillers, such as leveling compound or aerated concrete granules, you do not need to reinforce the legs of the StaenisGrid or add extra legs.
When using non-load-bearing fillers such as glass wool or cork granule insulation, you must:
- Place 8 extra legs per m² in the installed StaenisGrid. This increases the possible load by 100 kg per leg, resulting in a total load capacity of 1300 kg/m².
- Reinforce the top of the legs with a cement-lime mortar, ...
- Glue all legs to the substrate with PU foam; this way, the height adjustment remains correct after leveling.
