1. The concrete surface must be load-bearing, stable, dry, clean and free of dust and contamination. Remove loose parts that impair adhesion. Temporarily switch off any underfloor heating. Always consult the technical data sheet of the leveling compound to check the compatibility of the substrate and leveling compound. 2. Apply a primer for non-absorbent substrates (Primer CodeX FG 370) on the existing tiling. For damp/polluted substrates, always consult the technical data sheets to avoid subsequent debonding. 3. Once the previous layers have dried out correctly, place the Staenis leveling grid and adjust it to the correct height with a screwdriver. A leveling compound is placed between 1 mm and 3 cm high/thick as standard. If necessary, shorten the adjusting screws with a grinding wheel so that they do not protrude above the surface. 4. Always mix the liquid leveling compound at a low speed so as not to burn the leveling compound. Pour the leveling compound onto the surface and level it if necessary on the top of the Staenis leveling grid. If necessary, deaerate the freshly poured leveling compound with a needle roller. If desired, place expansion tape or edge insulation along the walls. 5. FYI: If you have a height of less than 1 cm in specific places, do not place a grid here, so that you can level from 1 mm. 6. For your information: leveling compound is applied when the supporting floor itself is stable and shows no cracks. If cracks occur in the bearing floor, there is a good chance that the leveling compound will also show cracks. This is of course counteracted by the Staenis leveling grid, but can still occur. 7. FYI: Due to the division of leveling compound into squares, the leveling compound itself will still shrink and cause micro shrinkage cracks at the level of the slats. As a result, all tensions disappear from the egaline and you can finish it afterwards. 8. Permitted floor coverings: non-moisture-sensitive floor coverings such as tiles, because the concrete slab or tiling can still allow moisture to pass through. Always follow the installation instructions of both the floor covering manufacturer and the store where the purchase was made.
