Use Underfloor Heating Additive in Screed: Tips & Tricks
A customer requested clarification on the use and quantity of the underfloor heating additive when preparing screed in the silo supplied by Staenis. A Staenis employee explained that when starting the mixing process in the silo, water, cement and screed are added, together with the underfloor heating additive that is added drop by drop.
After preparing a wheelbarrow with screed, it can be checked how many centiliters of additive have flowed from the bottle and whether this corresponds to the recommended quantity on the additive packaging. The employee also emphasized that the amount of water may need to be adjusted because the additive ensures that less water is needed.
At the end of the mixing process, the screed must be firm enough to form into snowballs without falling apart or being too runny.
The employee invited the customer to contact him if he had any further questions. For more information about Staenis and their products, visit their website: www.staenis.com.
